Your helmet should have a sticker that says it meets standards set by the consumer product safety commission (CPSC)

5 How Should My Helmet Fit?
Not too small or too big Never wear hat under bike helmet Helmet should be worn level and cover forehead The straps should be fastened tight enough so you can’t pull or twist the helmet on your head

6 See and Be Seen How can you stay visible to motorist?
Wear bright colored clothing! Stay aware of traffic around you Make eye contact with motorist Ride where crossing, passing, and approaching motorists can see you
