The Gap Project Brand Identity Major Practical ProjectChloe Isted

THE GAP PROJECT – the brief The Charity: The Gap Project is a community charity project based in Broadstairs. The charity aims to deliver a number of services to the community of Thanet by providing activity groups and support for individuals and families. The word ‘GAP’ stands for bridging the gap in community between any divide in social groups.

THE GAP PROJECT – the brief What I will create: The new brand identity pack will consist of a new logo, colour scheme, business cards and letterheads. The Charity is based in a church and although they are separate organizations the client still wants the connection there and visible in the brand identity. The client wants the colour scheme to match the interior of the building. Which is green and purple. The new brand identity will be built on the charity’s values. To gain the best understanding about the charity, what they do and their values I will have regular meetings with the client, volunteer to help at the activities they run and talk to the people that use these facilities. All this information will guide the project to become a success and benefit the charity in the best way possible.

THE GAP PROJECT – Brand identity Research

THE GAP PROJECT – Brand identity

THE GAP PROJECT – logo generation Using the ides of two communities represented by two circles. Used Photoshop and Illustrator.

THE GAP PROJECT – Brand identity Applying the logo to a letter head. The client likes this logo and colour scheme.

THE GAP PROJECT – Brand identity New logo Idea. Shape of the church is the base of the logo. This will represent the church and charity in a subtle way.

THE GAP PROJECT – Brand identity The next step is: Finish the brand identity. Logo design. Colour scheme. Confirm the brand identity with my client. Create brand identity pack including folder. The pack will include: Brand guidelines. About the logo. Letter head. Business card. Lanyard card. Give the brand identity guidelines to the website producer.
