Project Overview e-Canes Travel is the result of: Extensive analysis of industry trends & interviews of travel managers at other universities Efforts of steering committee comprised of representatives from: controllers, accounts payable, web development, purchasing, IT, and travel management Chaired by Business Services

Provides Alternative Airport and Departure Time Searching

Provides Comprehensive Search in a Single Display

Provides Option to Pay Via UM Ghost Card

Provides Input of UM Travel Request Account No/Sub-Object No.

E-Canes Travel ROI Cliqbook’s ROI for UM is less than 1 year After 5 years of using Cliqbook Will have reduced UM full-service travel agency service fees by $72,520

E-Canes Travel ROI Will have lowered UM’s Average Ticket Price from $418 to $384 This ATP reduction results in ticket savings of $251,325 Possible because travelers have more options/make better choices Will have saved UM at total of $323,845 Will have cost UM $33,200 (portal fees, consulting fees, etc.)
