ABSTRACT The following presentation is a representation of my professional values, purpose, mission, and vision regarding my future role as a Lead Designer in the video game industry. Valuing loyalty and honor, my purpose it to positively influence the development process while executing all tasks in a timely and effective manner. Envisioning my future position and keeping my eye on the prize, I will express hard work and dedication by being a 360 degree leader. Leading from the bottom until I reach the top.

VALUE STATEMENT I value loyalty, open communication, selflessness, integrity, respect, honor, and open minds; therefore, I will demonstrate these traits to exemplify my morality and standards.

PURPOSE STATEMENT The motives behind being employed at 2BDtermined Gaming Studios is to positively influence the development process, accommodate to the expectations of producers and leads, and gain a strong following of customers by providing high quality games.

MISSION STATEMENT My mission is to execute specific tasks and conditions given in a timely and effective manner while integrating and maintaining a respectable work ethic.

VISION STATEMENT I envision myself as Design Lead within eight years due to incessantly hard work and determination. By incorporating true leadership skills and knowledge in my field, I will be able to bring great minds together to produce masterpieces that will cater to the needs of the industry and customers alike.

IN LIGHT OF YOUR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT GOALS AND AS A POTENTIAL 360-DEGREE LEADER, HOW COULD YOU USE YOUR VALUES AND PURPOSE TO LEAD-UP? Maxwell (2005, p. 5, para. 3) explains that a great way to lead up is by assisting the leader with his or her work load. Most of the responsibilities the leader possesses usually coincides directly with their team’s objectives. After some time working with the designated leader, a pattern of tasks that are passed down from upper management such as deadlines, requests, and updates should be recognized. Taking initiative and already having tasks complete prior to even being given, will establish trust and give leaders assurance in the completion of responsibilities.

IN LIGHT OF YOUR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT GOALS AND AS A POTENTIAL 360- DEGREE LEADER, HOW COULD YOU USE YOUR MISSION TO LEAD-ACROSS? My mission statement strongly emphasizes on the execution of tasks in a timely and effective manner all while integrating respectable work ethic. Competing with fellow leaders will take the focus off of work and contradict my mission statement entirely. Rather than competing with fellow leaders, it is important to work together as a team to ensure a high quality product and eventually garner respect, credibility and influence. (Maxwell, 2005, p. 7). Putting the team’s tasks above your own is expressing true leadership. Something that the person on your right and left will surely see and appreciate.

IN LIGHT OF YOUR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT GOALS AND AS A POTENTIAL 360- DEGREE LEADER, HOW COULD YOU USE YOUR VISION TO LEAD-DOWN? Utilizing my vision as a testimony to my success, I am able to inspire, mentor, and encourage positive growth to the people in my team. By continuously reflecting on the years of hard work and dedication that lead to my position as Design Lead, I will be able to show the team that I can relate to the positions that they are currently in and that my doors will always be open to questions or concerns. Leaders express that they care when they pay attention to the team’s needs and by creating a healthy balance of personal and professional interest. (Maxwell, 2005, p.8, para. 5).
