Teaching Contents: the situation young people using cellphones, the uses and functions of cellphones, the problems they cause, reasons young people like cell phones, why Wang Mei likes cell phones and what she uses it for. Life on the Go:

Teaching Material Function and Dealing-with: learn some words and expressions, and understand two difficult sentences correctly. master reading skills, improve reading comprehensive ability and language-using ability. deal with the passage as a whole and finish teaching tasks through three stages: pre-reading, while-reading and post-reading.

Teaching Aims: Knowledge Skills: ① Learn to guess new words in a context. ② Learn some important expressions. ③ Train the students ’ reading ability. Emotion Aims: learn about different uses and functions of cellphones and the situation the students using cellphones, know the changes that cellphones cause to people ’ s life and study correctly.

Teaching Important Points: ① Learn and master some phrases: ② How to make the students understand the passage better. Teaching Difficult Points: ① Learn to get the main idea of each paragraph. ② Master the difference between the following phrases: ③ Understand the following sentences correctly.

Teaching Methods and Aids: 1. Discussion to arouse the students ’ interest in the passage and make every student take part in the class. 2. Fast-reading to get the general idea of the passage. 3. Careful-reading to get the detailed information of the passage and the main idea of each paragraph.
