The 2014 United Way campaign is in full swing. Student Council representatives have collection buckets all around the school so please plan to donate. There are many agencies in our community that benefit from your donations to United Way. Many of those agencies will be highlighted on the Lion Pride News each morning so please pay close attention.

The annual Beef Cook Off will be held at Foley High on November 6 during 1st block. All students interested should stop by Mrs. Leverett's room, 412, to pick up an application outside of her classroom. Please complete the application and return to Mrs. Leverett by the 28th of October with your recipe attached. (Continued)

The top three winners will go on to compete in the county Cattlewomen's Association Beef Cook Off on the evening of Nov. 13. The winner of the county goes on to compete at the State Cook Off in Montgomery, Alabama. There are cash prizes for the winners of both the county and the state competitions and Foley has a long history of outstanding performers! So all you beef chefs, "Get mooooving!"

There will be a mandatory NHS meeting Monday in the library. It will last 15 minutes, and important fundraiser information will be given.
