2 FCCLA will be having a baby drive next week, March 2-6. Please help this worthwhile cause by donating gently used baby items or new diapers, wipes, etc. Items may be dropped off with Mrs. Amy Smith in room 410.

3 Anyone planning to apply for the Lion Pride News for next year MUST DO SO BY FRIDAY. If you have not turned in your application, stop by Mrs. Lee’s room, room 702. Interviews will begin next week. There is a sign up sheet on Mrs. Lee’s door so if you have turned in your application be sure you schedule a time for your interview today!

4 “Join the choir! There are several opportunities to be part of our new and growing department of vocal and choral music next year. They include: Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir, Concert Choir, Foley Legacy – a new advanced women’s ensemble, A Cappella Group – a new, select ensemble that performs pop and contemporary music. To be a part of a choir ensemble next year, simply register for “Chorus” on your course application. Do this as soon as possible as course selection is in process!(Cont.)

5 (Chorus Cont.) Next, sign an interest form located in Room 418 – the Choir/Band Room, and submit to Mr. Hamm. Men’s and Women’s choirs require no audition or previous experience. If you would like to be considered for any other choirs, an audition is required. Please see Mr. Hamm for more info.

6 Do you need help with the April 18 A.C.T.? A Strategies Class will be held on Saturday, March 28 in Fairhope and a Review Class on Thursday, April 16 after school in Fairhope. Please be aware that these classes fill up quickly so if you want to attend, you need to register ASAP. For more information or to register, contact Peggy Varnado at 601-466-1406.

7 Have you gotten your AP shirt? If not, hurry because the deadline is Friday! See Mrs. Lores in the front office to get yours.

8 Have you gotten your Prom tickets? The cheapest tickets were sold last week, but you can still get a deal on them. Tickets for the underwater enchantment event are on sale for $25.00 each this week only. Ticket prices will rise each week so buy EARLY! Prom is March 21 st and it is going to be great! Get your tickets today for the event of the year!

9 There will be an Interclub meeting immediately after school on Tuesday in Mrs. Cody’s room 210. Discussion of this year’s Relay for Life event and fundraising plans will take place.

10 Attention all Link Crew members: You will take your club picture on Friday at 7:35 am in the gym. Please wear your club t- shirt for the picture.

11 FBLA students will meet today immediately after school in Ms. Porter’s room 307. Please plan to attend.

12 Seniors, this is a reminder that Friday is the deadline to apply for local scholarships through the South Baldwin Education Foundation. It is very important that you complete this application. It is located online at www.sbef.net. The application deadline to apply for the Alpha Delta Kappa Alabama Chi Chapter Scholarship is also scheduled for Friday. The applications are available in the scholarship box in Room 100.

13 The Vulcan Scholarship is also available. It is open to students who are entering the field of engineering. Please see Mrs. Rickey Maurin or Mr. Keenan for an applcation. Deadline to apply is March 13.

14 The Samuel M. Tharp Memorial Scholarship is now available. This is a $500 scholarship available to students entering the field of education. The deadline to apply is April 24 and applications can be picked up from the scholarship box in the 900 hall. Several scholarship applications with fast approaching deadlines are also available in the scholarship box in Room 100. Please go the guidance page on Foley High School's website for a list of scholarships or visit www.collegecountsalabama.com.

15 All scholarship OFFERS should be reported to Mrs. Rickey Maurin in room 923. She needs a total count of scholarships for Foley High School and it also ensures that you are invited to Senior Awards night. You DO NOT have to accept the scholarship, just be sure to report the OFFER to her.
