Comprehensive Review 9 Each campus, in consultation with the UC Office of the President, sets goals that specify the number of new freshmen and transfer students expected to enroll for the fall term Most campuses have more qualified applicants than they have room to accommodate thus, they apply standards that are more demanding than the minimum requirements. Information on how a campus reviews students for admission can be viewed on the campus website

Comprehensive Review 10 Using a process called comprehensive review, evaluators look beyond test scores and grades to evaluate applicants' academic achievements in light of the opportunities available to them and the capacity each student demonstrates to contribute to the intellectual life of the campus.

Fall 2015 Outcomes for CA Resident Freshmen 12

Community College Transfer 13 We give highest priority to California community college students transferring as juniors – who make up over 90% of our transfer class. Requirements: Complete the 7-course pattern by the end of the spring term prior to fall enrollment at UC Complete at least 60 semester/90 quarter units of UC-transferable credit. Earn at least a 2.4 GPA in UC-transferable courses (2.8 if you're a nonresident).

Community College Transfer 14 Meeting these basic requirements doesn't guarantee admission to the campus or major of your choice To be as competitive as possible, you should work toward meeting the requirements for the campuses and majors you're interested in Specifically, you should complete: All major preparation courses listed on ASSIST.org General education requirements

Associates Degree for Transfer 15 Choose courses that align with the requirements at the UC campuse(s) you're interested in Use ASSIST.org or our major preparation paths to guide you in choosing the right courses Although earning an ADT does not guarantee admission to UC, some campuses consider it in the comprehensive review
