Contacts During sessions: Out of hours : Themes Our themes for this term are Pets, Bonfire night, Diwali and Remembrance day. Information regarding our themes and planned activities are displayed on the notice board in the corridor. Children are welcome to bring in items relating to our themes. Special Educational Needs and Inclusion Our Special Educational needs Coordinator for the setting is Caroline. My role is to support children and families in the setting with additional needs to be able to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. I will be providing a drop in session every Wednesday from 9.15am-10.00am for parents who would like advice on SEN or just to have a chat with regards to their child’s needs. Please see our Special Educational needs/Inclusion board in the corridor for further information. Newsletter Pets at home visit On Thursday 5 th November ‘Pets at home’ will be bringing in a variety of small animals for the children to see, touch and learn about such as; rabbits, hamsters, lizards and spiders as part of our ‘Pet’ theme week. Please let us know if you child has any pet allergies or fears that we do not all ready know about. November Newsletter 2015 Policies We have recently reviewed our Administering medicines policy. A copy of all our policies can be found on our website and in the changing room. Water bottles Children are welcome to bring In a named water bottle to leave by their peg to access after outdoor play, this can be in addition to their drink in their lunch bags. Tapestry On Line Learning Journals We are really pleased with the feed back we have received from parents about the new children’s on line learning journals, and it is lovely to see pictures, observations and videos of the children learning at home. If any parents are having difficulties accessing their child’s learning journal please let us know. As part of our parents evening on 23 rd November we will be on hand to offer help, answer any questions that you may have and listen to your feedback about Tapestry.

Parents Open Evening We will be holding an informal open evening for all parents/carers on Monday 23 rd November 6.00pm – 7.30pm. There will be an opportunity for all parents to discuss your child’s progress with their key person. All staff are involved in the open evening so are unable to provide any child supervision so if possible adults only to attend please. Appointment times can be arranged with your child’s key person wk beginning 16 th November. Bizzy Bears values your views and opinions about the service we offer and there will be opportunities for you to share your opinions with us. If you are unable to attend and would like to meet with your child’s key person at an alternative time please speak to them to arrange this. Dates for your diary 12 th and 13 th November ~ Children in need hero theme ’ Monday 23 rd November 6.00pm -7.30pm ~ Parents Open evening Monday 7 th 2.45pm~ Nativity 1 Friday 11 th December 11.30am- Nativity 2 Friday 18 th December ~ Children’s Pre school Christmas party and last day of term (all children welcome) Christmas Nativity and Carol concert We will be holding our Christmas Nativity on Monday 7 th December at 2.45pm, If your child does not attend a Monday or Friday session you are welcome to bring them in at 2.40pm(dressed in their costume) to participate. Parents are welcome at 2.45pm. Our second nativity is on Friday 11 th December at 11.30am. Parents are welcome to join us at 11.30am for our concert followed by tea, coffee and mince pies. If your child is not in that day you are welcome to bring them in at 11.30am (dressed in their costume) to participate. Your child will receive a slip w/b 23rd November with their part and costume required. If any parent has difficulties finding a costume please speak to a member of staff who will be happy to help. Children In Need To celebrate this years Children in need appeal, we are inviting children to come dressed as their hero ( sporting hero, TV character, famous person….) on Thursday 12 th and Friday 13 th November. Children are welcome to come to Pre school dressed as their hero for a small donation. We will also be planning ‘hero’ themed activities and fun. Christmas Party Our party will take place during our session on Friday December 18 th and will include lots of fun and games, party food and a visit from Father Christmas. All children who are not in on that day are welcome to join us at 10.00am for the party. There is no extra charge for the party. Normal session times apply for those who are in on a Friday 9.15am-11.45am. There will be no lunch club session that day we will finish at 11.45am. All parents are welcome to join us at 11.30am to see our special visitor. We would welcome in any parents that may be able to help with preparing the food for the party on the day. Please let a member of staff know if you are able to help.
