Newsletter www.bizzy-bears.com Summer trip to West Lodge Farm Tuesday 9 th June The children and staff are looking forward to our farm trip, we would ask that all families meet us in the main hall at 9.15am ready to leave for 9.30am. Before leaving for the farm families will be allocated a coach to travel on, on arrival at the farm we will receive a welcome meeting by the farm staff to inform us of the days activities. We will be meeting for lunch on the grass area behind the cafe at 12pm if families would like to join us with their picnics. We shall leave the farm at 2.00pm to arrive back at Bizzy Bears at approximately 2.45pm. Please be aware that Bizzy Bears will be closed on Tuesday 9 th June due to our summer trip, so will not be open for normal sessions for those not attending the trip. Themes This term we will be learning about Holidays, the Farm leading up to our trip to West Lodge Farm, Summer fun and also helping our Pre school leavers with their transition to school. Please see our notice boards in the corridor for daily activities and learning experiences. Newsletter June 2015 Places for September 2015 We are currently registering new children for September 2015. We have spaces for children age 2-4 years. We offer funded Early learning for 2,3 and 4 year old children depending on eligibility. If you have a family member or friend that may be interested please pass on our contact details or alternatively you can bring them along to meet us. Wedding News! Rachel Bizzy Bears Deputy supervisor and red group key person is getting married on Friday 26 th June at St Andrews church in Gt Billing. We would like to send Rachel and her soon to be husband Andrew our love and best wishes for their big day. We will be celebrating with the children w/b 22 nd June and invite them to dress up for a Wedding party on Tuesday 23 rd June! Please note there will be no lunch club on Friday 26 th June the session will finish at 11.45am.

2. Leavers celebration and Pre school Fun Day We will be holding this years fun day on Tuesday July 21 st. There will be two bouncy castles, fun activities and a presentation for our Pre-School leavers. The morning session will run as usual until 11.45am. All children and families are then invited from 12pm-3.00pm to join us for a teddy bears picnic, with a picnic and their teddy bear including all those who do not attend a Monday session. A presentation to our Pre school leavers will be held between 12.30pm-1.00pm. We will then continue the afternoon with fun activities- art and craft, climbing frame and a Bizzy Bears beach(if the weather is kind to us!) We do not charge for this event, all money raised from events during the year including, group photos and Kids Klub DVD go towards this event. Lunch boxes Please can we remind parents that children need a drink in their packed lunch and a cool block in the warm weather as we are unable to refrigerate all packed lunches. We would also ask that all grapes, strawberries and cucumber pieces please be cut in half as these can be choking hazards when eaten whole. Thank you Parents evening/ Leavers transition document consultations We will be holding an informal open evening for all parents/carers on Monday 22 nd June 6.00 pm – 7.30 pm. There will be an opportunity for all parents to discuss your child’s progress with their key person and look at your child’s special book. Parents of our school leavers will be able to discuss their child’s transition to school and complete the necessary documents. We will also be giving parents the opportunity to look back over the past year by displaying photographs of all the children taking part in activities at Bizzy Bears. All staff are involved in the open evening so are unable to provide any child supervision so if possible adults only to attend please. Your child’s key person will arrange individual appointment times w/b 15 th June. Bizzy Bears values your views and opinions about the service we offer and there will be opportunities for you to share your opinions with us. If you are unable to attend and would like to meet with your child’s key person at an alternative time please speak to them to arrange this. Sun Safety As the weather is turning warmer please can all children bring in a sun hat and a named bottle of sun cream. Please can we also ask that you apply sun cream to your child before coming to pre school and we will top it up as required. The children enjoy being outside in the warmer weather but we do limit the time they are out when the weather becomes particularly warm and extra drinks are supplied.
