How do artists use sketchbooks? As a journal To record observations To collect ideas To make thumbnail sketches To make rough drafts For “studies” To simply play around

Thumbnails Quick, small sketches. Not very detailed. Think in the general, not specifics. Idea of what the final piece will look like (composition, color scheme etc.)
