Cognitive Perspective Perceptions and thoughts influence behavior Socrates – “Know thyself” Strategies – “our mental software” Think about discrimination/ Elliott

Humanistic Perspective Self awareness, experience, & choice permit us to “invent ourselves”. People are basically good & desire to be helpful to others. Based on self concept.
