Prompt Contrast European diplomacy in the periods 1890 to 1914 and 1918 to 1939, respectively include in your analysis goals, practices, and attitudes

Diplomacy 1890 to 1914 In 1890 to 1914 the main goal was to settle colonial differences and to maintain peace. Alliances were made and conferences were also set up, which caused world war. European nations were very imperialistic Nations fought for political and national power. European nations wanted national, political and economic security was a huge goal. Alliances were henceforth set up, as well as conferences were established. World War I started.

Diplomacy 1918 to 1939 This was considered “post war Europe” Transitioning from hostility of war, to peacefulness. There was a period of “settlement.” Which resulted in the Dawes plan in 1924, which was an attempt by the Triple Entente to collect war reparations from Germany. A period of “fulfillment” which resulted in the evacuation of Rhineland.. In 1921 The New Economic Policy was set up in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics The 1920s to 1930s witnessed the artistic movements of Dadaism and Surrealism. 1929 from 1939 saw a Great Depression In 1924- 1929 The Nazi part built up in Germany. In 1927-8 Stalin came to power and issued first five year plan. In 1933 Hitler was appointed chancellor in Germany. And Nazi Germany began to control life and blacklist authors. In 1933 Hitler set up the “New Order” which political power Nazi’s wanted to establish through Europe. In 1936 Stalin started great purges which was murder of people Stalin disapproved of. 1938 held the Munich conference and the policy of appeasement was set, resulting in German boundaries.. In 1938 Hitler also attacked Austria. In 1939 Hitler and his followers thrived off territorial expansion and racial attacks and assaulted Poland suddenly, causing World War II. USSR, and Great Britain came together, also known as the Grand Alliance, in order to stop Germany during WWII and set up the three interrelated policies.
