ABOUT KILVE COURT & CENTRES  Kilve Court Residential Education Centres are part of Somerset County Council’s Children & Young People’s Directorate.  There are four centres: Kilve Court, The Outdoor Centre, Greatwood & Charterhouse  Operating for over 50 years  Kilve Court is located on the west coast of Somerset, half way between Bridgwater & Minehead

THE FOUR CENTRES…

SECURITY, ACCOMMODATION ETC…  CCTV in operation around the grounds  Security key pads to gain entry to the house and each corridor  Each school can have their own meeting room  Sleeping accommodation is not shared with other schools  Secure grounds which are private and have no public access  Member of Kilve staff on Duty 24/7 on site

AN AVERAGE DAY AT KILVE…  Wake up bell7:45am  Breakfast bell8:30am  Activities 19:30am  Morning break10:45am  Activity 211:15am  Lunch12:45pm  Activities 3 & 41:45pm  Afternoon break4:15pm  Evening meal6:00pm  Evening activities7:15pm  Bed timeYour staff will let you know

THE IMPORTANT BIT, FOOD!  BREAKFAST ~ Cereal, toast, a hot choice (e.g. Beans), Juice, water or a cup of tea.  LUNCH ~ A selection of options, a salad bar and fruit  DINNER ~ A selection of choices and a dessert  Break times ~ A drink of squash or water, a biscuit or a piece of fruit  We always accommodate dietary requirements if known in advance. Everyone is catered for, always.

PACKED IN YOUR BAG, YOU WILL NEED…  A sleeping bag, bottom sheet & a pillow case  A towel & wash bag with the normal contents – Yes you will need to have at least one shower, sorry!  Indoor shoes or slippers for the house  Wellingtons & outdoor shoes (2pairs) (we do have spare wellies, lots)  Clothes that can get very muddy and dirty. Old clothes are best for this!  Warm clothes along with a very good waterproof coat.  If we have sun? A hat & sun cream, if we have rain/snow, a warm hat & gloves. It’s all possible!  Extras – A torch, spending money, a camera and a cuddly toy, if you want to?  You also have to be able to carry your own bag and know the contents! Helping to pack your bag will help with being able to bring your kit home!!!
