1 Year 6 Residential The Beacon Activity Centre
1st - 5th October 2018 Staff: Mrs Doherty, Mrs Glasford and Mr Gaylor

2 Travelling by coach Leave St Anne’s School – Monday 1st October 2018, At 9.15am. Children to come to school wearing their own clothes (comfortable clothing –no jeans) Leave The Beacon Activity Centre – Friday 5th October 2018, at am. Children will be back at school for end of day collection.

3 Programme of Activities
Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday 8:30-9:00 Breakfast 9:15-9:30 Think Time 9:30-12:30 Activities Activities. Activities  Beacon shop open Clear rooms by 10:00 Packed lunch & depart 12:30-13:30 Lunch Packed Lunch 13:30-16:30 (NB Rooms available from 16:00) Welcome & estate walk 16:30-18:00 Free time 18:00-19:15 Dinner 19:15-21:00 Discovery challenges: 1 whole class game + rotation of activities in 3 groups Egg challenge Teacher-led evening Celebration evening – bonfire at firepit / beach  Low Tide 20:47 (2.8m) 21:00 Hot chocolate

4 Clothes for activities
Kit List NO MOBILE PHONES, SWEETS, ELECTRONIC DEVICES!! Sufficient socks and underwear (extras as you Money may get wet!) Up to £10 spending money (to be handed to a teacher in a labelled envelope) Night wear Towel x 2 Other Toiletries ( wash things) Torch, soft toy (not huge!), camera, water bottle, small rucksack/bag, small board games or colouring/puzzle book, book to read Clothes for activities 2-3 Tracksuit bottoms, trousers or leggings Tops (at least 1 full length) 2-3 jumpers/sweatshirts Medication Shorts if the weather is hot All medication including inhalers need to be labelled and given to the teacher on the morning of departure. Waterproof jacket 1-2 pairs of old trainers (1 you don’t mind getting muddy or wet) Food Fully disposable packed lunch for the day of travel (no fizzy drinks, glass bottles or nuts please) Possibly hat and gloves – weather depending 1 labelled bin bags for wet/dirty clothes

The class will be divided into three groups. Each group will have a teacher allocated to them and will be with them on all activities. Some of the activities that we are hoping to take part in are: Archery Low ropes Discovery Challenges Climbing Zipwire Orienteering Crate Stack
