Your visit to Patterdale Hall: In the heart of the Lake District National Park Private lake Access to South end of Lake Ullswater Set in over 30 acres of estate.

14 Centre Safety Patterdale ensure the appropriateness of all staff to work with young people. Coded locks on all major doors Sensitive fire alarm Risk Management procedures Work closely with visiting staff. Clear welcome talk and safety briefings

Lunch – Filled sandwiches, taken in or out Dinner – selection of options Additionally: Morning break – Flask out on session Afternoon break – Flask out of session Supper – Drink possible before bed. They can accommodate any dietary requirements if known in advance and will always work with young people to provide food for them that they can eat.

18 Kit List Changes of clothes – avoid denim for activities. Joggers are great Towel and wash kit 2/3 sets of shoes, one indoor, one to get wet and one other. Sleeping bag (we provide a bottom sheet and pillow and case) Waterproof coat and trousers (if you have, if not Patterdale can provide). Seasonal kits (hat and gloves/sunhat and cream) Warm jumpers Swimming costume Bin bag in the suitcase for wet and dirty kit All packed with the student, labelled where possible Child insect repellent Do not bring Electrical items (including mobile phones) and valuables. No I Pads, DVD Players Sweets Your best clothes! Patterdale will provide all technical and safety equipment for the activities.

What the centre expects from course participants: Listen to and follow instructions promptly Respect others working and staying at the centres and help keep each other safe Treat the Centres’ buildings and grounds with care Try their best to meet the new challenges facing them What the centre expects from group leaders and PARENTS: To support the Centres’ values and rules To share with the school any relevant information or concerns prior to their visit – to be passed on At the end of their stay, to celebrate with children their successes – help transfer the learning.

22 25th June – 27th June 2018 The cost of the residential will be £160 in total. An initial deposit of £20 (Parent Pay) is required, before October half term, in order to confirm the booking.
