ART-I Beginning Art Instructor: Ms. Waggoner Room 351

Course Description This is a introductory course to art. We will explore the fundamental elements and principles of design. You will gain familiarity with the terminology, visual concepts and basic materials utilized in the studio by visual artists.

Outline of course In the first six weeks we will learn about the principals of design; line, shape, pattern, space, and value, while focusing on drawing. In the second six weeks we will be learning about color and various painting techniques. Students will have a variety of assignments and learn about a variety of artists.

Course Fee This course requires all students to pay a fee of $30.00 for supplies and materials that will be provided by the instructor.
