Welcome to Art!
I am so excited to have
you in my class this year. We will use creative processes with a variety of mediums throughout this course and learn about Art History.
In this nine-week course, students are expected to think outside the box, come to each class prepared, respect the thoughts and ideas of others, be responsible with the art room equipment and supplies, and bring a positive attitude each day! All students will be held accountable for his/her actions.

When work is turned in late, 10 points will be taken off for timeliness. Extensions are only possible when a parent or guardian communicates the issue with Mrs. Kasilus via letter or prior to the project’s due date. Art supplies will not be sent home with students.
We will take every precaution to ensure clothes are kept tidy, but please understand that Art projects can be messy.
We will take care of art materials and not be wasteful.
We will respect the thoughts and ideas of others.
We will learn through discovery, and yes, sometimes that happens through mistakes.
We will TRY our best, everyday!
