Overall expectations of students by the end of kindergarten, students will: produce two and three dimensional works of art in a variety of media. begin to utilize the concepts of the elements of art and begin discussing them. Aesthetic Perception/ Knowledge of Art Recognize and utilize color, line, and shape in artwork and in their environment. Identify art tools, materials and techniques demonstrating an understanding of their proper use. Creative Expression/ Production and Use of Art Knowledge Use learning activities that are unstructured within structure. Make personal choices when creating artwork. Aesthetic Valuing and Reasoning Begin to discuss artwork using elements of art. Begin to discuss the subject matter of artwork. Identify art tools, materials and techniques demonstrating an understanding their proper use. Creative Expression/ Production and Use of Art Knowledge Produce works of art in two and three dimensions utilizing a variety of techniques and media. Mix secondary colors from primary.
