What does AVID look like in 4th Grade? Learn to use the binder and planner as organizational tools. Begin to use two and three column notes. Begin to use WICOR across the curriculum. Setting personal goals and being responsible for achieving them.

What does AVID look like in 5th Grade? Continue to support the organization using the binder and student planner. Refine use of 2 and 3 column notes. Continue to develop WICOR across all areas of the curriculum. Setting personal goals and being prepared to learn.

Middle School AVID Program Dixon Middle School will select AVID candidates at the end of the first quarter of a student’s sixth grade year. Southwest Middle School will have an information night and send applications home in the Spring. New Bridge Middle School does not have AVID at this time.
