‘A’ Question 1)Always 3 marks. 2)Always based on a source. 3)Either: Q. “What can you learn from Source … about …” A. “The source shows … from this we can learn …” SAY WHAT YOU SEE X3! or Q. “What can you infer from Source … about …” A. “ The source infers … (What it’s telling you, but not directly!) 5 Mins.

‘B’ Question Worth 7 Marks. Compare 2 sources. Look for support and disagreement between the sources as well as making a judgement in relation to the question. 10 Mins.

‘C’ Question Always worth 15 marks. Use sources and own knowledge. Consider support and lack of support for the quote. The quote will always offer a ‘one sided’ view. There will be some truth in it – but it will never tell the whole story! Plan your answer. Decide which sources support the view Decide which challenge the view – some support both! Develop the sources to stimulate your own knowledge. You need a balanced answer Write a conclusion which makes a final and measurable judgement on the view in the question “I agree with the view …. To a large / small extent because …” 30 mins.
