To begin click: File, New, then select Design Familiarize yourself with the controls on the page. Then use the maximise button the make the window fill your view.

Use the rectangle tool to draw a square on the page. Don’t worry if it is not square. Now select the dimension tool. Now click on the line to the top left once, it will light red. Then click the opposite line HOLD THE MOUSE BUTTON DOWN and drag the mouse up and right until it is off the square, you will see the dimension appear. Now complete this in the other direction

Change to a 2D view, by clicking here Still using the dimension tool, double click on the dimension until it lights orange, then do it again and this box appears. In the length box, type in 200. This will change the length of the shape. Repeat this for the other side. You will be left with a square.

Next use the circle tool to draw a circle INSIDE THE BOX anywhere you like. Now it gets tricky, use the dimension tool, to dimension the CENTRE of the circle to the edge of the page. To find the centre when dimensioning move the mouse when selecting the circle slightly inside the line until a black dot appears in the centre, then select it before dragging the mouse again. Do this in both directions, then change them to 100.

To change the size of the circle, use the dimension tool, and select the circle line, dragging away from it. Simply change the number to affect the size. Change to a 3D view, by clicking the arrow to access the popup box, click the top right 3D view. Then click the extrude profile tool. When the box below appears type in 100 in the distance box. Click OK

Now select the top section of the design, use the select faces button, and hover it over the design until the top outline lights, then click. Now select shell solids, when the box appears, enter 10 in the offset, then click OK

To finish off, and round the edges, leave the area that is selected, then click the round edges button, when the box appears enter a radius of 5, click OK Well done! Now click this button to finish it and see your work!
