Parents will be given the opportunity to purchase books (CGP) if they wish to do optional/additional homework. Teachers will mark one page a week regardless of how many the children complete. Parents and children are able to choose which pages they complete. This will also be set on Thursday.

Levels and points There will no longer be levels and points with the new National Curriculum (except in years 2 and 6) You will be informed if your children are working at, above or below national age related standards. Each sublevel is 2 points, so if a child is a 1b, 2 points would make them a 1a, 4 points makes a 2c. National expectations for year 2 is 2b or 15 points. Our SATs will be held during the month of May. This will be when we make our assessments.

Contact books Planners should be in school everyday. Children should be reading every night and recording in their planners, it could be magazines, books, kindles etc and can be independent but has to be signed. It needs to be signed on a weekly basis by home and school. Spellings and scores will be in the planners on a Thursday. Any notes, please use planners, or stop by!
