Presentation transcript:

Brief synopsis of entire film A disturbed child grows in to a escapee of a mental hospital after she has visions of killing people which are urged on by her childhood doll. As the audience watch on they believe that the girl killed these people, but find out that they are actually visions created by the doll, apart from the last one where she actually kills someone important to her…

Films which influenced us… Se7en Coralline The idea of using a doll as a main part of our film was influenced by coralline. Also having a similar first and last scene to the opening title sequence to show change. Having very short clips which unnerve the audience for example short clips of medical equipment or other creepy things. And making it obvious that the character is the same just a different age. Also having lots of close up shots of things. Don’t look now Having a child in a distinctive costume.

Opening title sequence The opening title sequence are a mixture of seemingly random scenes which represent parts of our main characters life, and short shots of a child doing every day things. Also there will be stills of dead things or omens of death that represents what the girl is being told to do by the doll. Original story board The opening title sequences first and last shot will be in the same place but with the main character being a child in the first, and a young adult in the second.

Main characters There is one character that is met in our opening title sequence, a young girl and a doll with a controlling personality that’s created in the mind of our main character. The girl is disturbed she lives in a orphanage as she watched her parents die brutally. She acts independently and doesn't want help from any one. At the end of the opening title sequence we see her older in a hospital gown looking scruffy and alone still with the doll. The child will have a similar costume to the one the doll is wearing to show the power and influence it has over her.

Narrative structure The narrative structure will be a linear and simple set of clips that tell the back story of our characters upbringing. In the opening title sequence the clips will be shown as flashbacks of the characters life. We will show the audience that they are flashbacks, by using certain editing software and making them quicker and shorter than other clips in the opening title sequence e.g the last clip, which is of the girl after she has escaped.
