Achievement is a priority Cautious, intellectual, serious May act independent of, or indifferent to the feelings of others. Precise, no-nonsense, critical, efficient Truth is more important than Empathy When making a tough decision, logical factors are the most important Acceptance is a priority Warm, emotional, light hearted Often involved with the feelings of others, may be self-indulgent, attention-seeking. Casual, playful, dramatic, impulsive, open Empathy is more important than fact. When making a tough decision, following your heart is the most important Active, ambitious, personable Tends to talk more than ask questions Takes a stand and makes position clear to others Enjoys working in groups Act before you think Prefers to have a lot of good friends Feels exhilarated/excited before public speaking Reserved, easy-going, accepting Tends to ask more questions than talk Expresses moderate opinions, cooperative, let others take initiative Enjoys working alone Think before you act Prefers to have a few great friends Feels apprehensive/ not excited before public speaking 1 square – This is like me 2 squares - This is REALLY like me !  Which “animal” do you feel it would be most difficult for you to work with?  Which animal might be good to work with because of some complementary skills?  How does knowing one another’s animals help maintain relationships?

This is not absolute There is no BEST or WORST animal Not an excuse or diagnosis Pay attention to your own behavior o At what times do you see yourself in the colored side of your animal? o At what times do you see yourself on the outside (non-colored) side of your animal? Golden Rule vs. Platinum Rule Who is in your jungle? o Implications for staff development and teamwork?
