Daily classroom operation 1. Bellwork – objective in planner, assignment on board 2. Lesson – daily agenda posted on board 3. Closure – complete work, prepare for dismissal

Entering the classroom 1. Handouts - pick up handouts on bellwork table 2. Seated – go directly to your assigned seat 3. Bellwork – work on assignment posted on the board

Attendance, absences, and tardies Attendance - the teacher will take during bellwork Absences – the teacher will provide make up work, please do not ask for your work individually Tardies – if you are not in the room when the final bell rings, you will go to a tardy table and get a pass

Quieting the class 1. The teacher will say, “Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for listening,” “Listen up,” or “Are you ready?” 2. In some cases, teacher will also raise a finger. 3. When you hear (or see) this signal, please stop what you are doing, look at the teacher, and listen for instructions. The class must be silent.

Dismissal 1. Complete your work 2. Clean your area 3. Be seated 4. When the bell rings, the teacher will dismiss the class 5. Please push in your chair on your way out

Other We have procedures for doing lab work, taking notes, watching videos, going to library or writing lab, handling materials, working in groups, and participating in class discussions. We will go over these procedures as needed.

Rules 1. Follow teacher’s directions the first time they are given. 2. Stay on task. Do not disrupt the class. 3. Be respectful to people and property. 4. Please put away all electronic devices. 5. Get permission to speak, no talk outs or across the room. 6. No sleeping, grooming, gossiping, or cursing. 7. Keep hands and objects to yourself. No projectiles.
