Political Ideology A system of ideas or ideals that influence decisions. Each political party subscribes to a certain ideology.

Political Spectrum a method to explain how political ideologies relate to one another. Have you heard of the term “left wing” or “right wing?” – this is what they are talking about.

Where are you on the Spectrum? I believe the government should tax richer people at a higher rate than poor people (ie: the richer you are, the more you get taxed) The government should spend less money on our armed forces Free day care should be provided to all families, even if it means an increase in taxes If a company is seriously polluting the environment, it should be shut down even if people will loose their jobs. The government should regulate (control) prices – even if it means businesses may make less money
