What is the temperature of this soil and how much water will it hold?

I hypothesize that this soil will be wet because it has raining for the past few days.

Mrs. Williams Pen/pencil Paper soil moister meter Soil temperature meter 1.Stick both meters in to the soil 2.Wait until 5 minutes are up 3.Read meters to Mrs. Williams 4.Make sure that she recorded data 5.Then repeat in a different spot of soil

My hypothesis is partially correct because only the middle of the Unsifted soil held the most water. Also my hypothesis is incorrect because all of the other parts of soil held the same amount of water. How much water will they need for the community garden?
