Which of the following insulators absorbs heat the best? A) Plastic B) Glass C) Foam Different Insulators

If the insulator is glass, then the amount of heat transferred will decrease. Null Hypothesis: The type of insulator does not affect the amount of heat transferred The Glass Cup Used In the Experiment

Independent: The independent variable in this experiment is the type of insulator. Dependent: The dependent variable in this experiment is the temperature of the water inside the cup. Controls: 1)Size of Cup 2)Type of Liquid Inside of Cup 3)Amount of Water Inside of Cup 4)Amount of Time the Cups are in the Water 5)Thickness of Cup

Glass Cup Foam Cup Plastic Cup Water Heating Device Pan Thermometer The Materials Used

First, one glass cup, one foam cup, and one plastic cup are all filled with water at 75 degrees Fahrenheit. They are then placed in a pan filled with water at 150 degrees Fahrenheit. After waiting exactly five minutes, the temperature of each cup is taken with a thermometer. The process is performed three times. Finally, the insulator with the lowest temperature is determined. The Procedure In Order

The purpose of this experiment is to find out which type of insulator absorbs heat the most. Cups of the same size but different types are filled with water of 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The cups are then placed in a pan containing water with a temperature of 150 degrees Fahrenheit. They are left in the pan for five minutes. After this time is over, the temperature from all of the cups are taken. This same process is repeated three times until the insulator with the coolest average is determined. At the end of the experiment, it was found that the type of insulator does affect the amount of heat transferred. The glass insulator was the best insulator, having transferred the least amount of heat. It had an average of 82.3 degrees Fahrenheit.

After I conducted this experiment, I found out that the type of insulator does affect the amount of heat transferred. In conclusion, glass is the best type of insulator because it transferred the least amount of thermal energy to the water in the cup. It had an average temperature of 82.3 degrees Fahrenheit. The next best insulator was foam with and average of 87.67 degrees Fahrenheit. Finally, the worst insulator was plastic. It had the highest average temperature of 94.67 degrees Fahrenheit.

Which of the following substances will have the lowest temperature, there fore, best insulation? a) Water b) Coke c) Milk Different Substances

If the substance inside the insulator is coke, then the insulation will be better. Null Hypothesis: The type of substance will have no affect on the insulation.

Independent: The independent variable in this experiment is the type of substance inside the insulator Dependent: The dependent variable in this experiment is the temperature inside the insulator. Controls: 1) The amount of substance 2) Size of insulator (Cup) 3) Type of insulator 4) Thickness of insulator 5) Amount of time cups are in water

First, three plastic cups are each filled with coke, water, or milk. Next, the plastic cups are placed in a pan with water at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The cups are there for 5 minutes. After the five minutes past, the temperature of each substance is taken. Finally, the substance with the lowest temperature is determined.

The purpose of this experiment is to determine which substance has the best insulation. First three plastic cups are filled with coke, water, or milk. The cups are then placed in a pan with water at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, the cups are left there for five minutes. Finally, the temperature of each substance is taken and the lowest temperature is determined. At the end of the experiment, it was discovered that the type of substance has no affect on the insulation. Each substance had the same temperature of 110 degrees Fahrenheit. So, my null hypothesis was correct.

After I conducted this experiment, I found that the type of substance has no affect on the insulation. So in conclusion, my null hypothesis was right. With each trial, the temperature of each substance was always the same: 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

Which of the following insulators have the best insulation? a)Thinnest insulator b)Medium thick insulator c)Thickest insulator Different Thickness Insulators

If the insulator is thicker, then the insulation will be better. Null hypothesis: The thickness of the insulator has no affect on the insulation.

Independent: The independent variable in this experiment is the thickness of the insulator Dependent: The dependent variable in this experiment is the temperature of the substance. Controls: 1)Size of Insulator 2) Type of Insulator 3) Type of Substance inside insulator 4) Amount of time insulator is in water 5) Amount of Substance

Plastic Cups Water Pan Heating Device Timer

First, the thickness of two plastic cups is increased by placing two other plastic cups inside on plastic cups and one plastic cup inside another. One plastic cup is left alone. Next the three cups are placed in a pan with water at 150 degrees Fahrenheit. The timer is set to 5 minutes. Finally, the temperature of the water inside each insulator is taken and the insulator with the lowest temperature is determined.

The purpose of this experiment was to find out if the thickness of the insulator affects the insulation First, the thickness of each insulator was increased by adding several cups. Next, each insulator was placed in a pan with water at 150 degrees. The timer was then set to 5 minutes. After five minutes, the temperature of each insulator was taken. Finally, the insulator with the lowest temperature is determined. At the end of this experiment, I found out that the thickness does affect the insulation. I found the thickest cup had the lowest temperature.

At the end of this experiment, I find out that the thickness of an insulator does affect the insulation. The insulator with threes cups inside each other was the one with the lowest temperature, followed by the insulator with two cups, and finally the one cup. In conclusion, my hypothesis was correct.
