Fort Polk Spouses’ Club Executive Board Member Nomination CALL FOR CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION OF FPSC EXECUTIVE BOARD These job descriptions are general and not intended to represent the full scope of the responsibilities of each office. Complete descriptions are found in the individual position SOP and AAR’s along with any other recommendations from the President and Executive Board. All elected board members will appoint their own committee members with approval of the President. Each elected and appointed member will be present at each board meeting and submit a monthly board report. Board members are expected to support and participate in all club activities and projects. President - Elected Arranges and presides over all of the general membership, the board, and all committees except the Election Committee. Approves all appointed positions, finds replacements for those positions if the member leaves or resigns, may act as treasurer in the absence of that member, and co-signs any transactions over $500. They also represent the FPSC or appoint a designated representative for meetings of non-governing boards at installation level, such as Thrift Shop, the CLC, etc. Acts as a spokesperson at the welcomes and farewells of the spouses of the Commanding General and Command Sergeant Major of JRTC Fort Polk and at all FPSC functions. She also invites the same spouses to serve as Honorary Presidents. Is responsible for FPSC and government equipment, validation of the club activities and tax preparations. Returns copies of monthly financial statements to the CG and DMWR. Has the final vote on any voting ending in a tie. 1st Vice President - Elected Succeeds to President if that office is vacant; assists President in her absence. Coordinates welcome and farewell functions of the Senior Spouses. Arranges menu with caterer and publishes with 2nd Vice for the monthly flyer, arranges lunch dates and location with the WCC and publishes to Board. Arranges for pick up and drop off of tablecloths each month from WCC. Sets up and breaks down all luncheons. Maintains contact with CDC on childcare changes and publishes regulations and changes in the newsletter.

Fort Polk Spouses’ Club Executive Board Member Nomination CALL FOR CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION OF FPSC EXECUTIVE BOARD nd Vice President - Elected Organizes, promotes, and co-coordinates each luncheon program. Confers with 1st Vice regarding menus, location, etc. Purchases opportunity prizes and gifts for honored guests. Introduces the program at luncheons, and introduces guest speakers. Coordinates with scholarship chairperson for the May luncheon when scholarships are honored. In the absence on the President, takes the duties of 1st Vice, and in the absence of both, takes the duties of President. Is available to help the president with any activities of the FPSC, and takes on any responsibilities as designated by the President. Treasurer - Elected Pays invoices, makes deposits, balances bank statements, prepares financial statements, and prepares books for auditor. Secretary - Elected Attends all executive and general board meetings; takes notes at all meetings. Maintains all records. Maintains copier at Creole Corner.
