Registration is only possible if The university has received and processed an application (electronically ensures we have all relevant data – UCAS / OLAF) Qualification information has been processed Fee assessment decision has been made The student has accepted the offer and met the conditions of the offer

When can a new student register? Upon completing the Admissions process, a new student becomes eligible to register and is sent 2 s (one with username and one with password) informing how and when to register by. If we have no personal , we will send a letter with the same information, but we do not send letters abroad Online registration for new students opens on Wednesday 31 August and invitation s will be sent every day from Tuesday 30 August, usually between 4-6pm. Upon completing part 1 of registration online, a new student must complete part 2 at the Student Centre (or Partner College) by showing identity and qualification documents The student gets a student ID card on completion of part 2

What if there is a problem? The student can log queries regards to any data within the online registration process – answered in Query Tracker within 3 days unless the response involves another department (may take up to 1 week) The student can contact the Student Helpline:

What to pay attention to? That students sitting in your class are fully registered That registered students not in class are monitored and withdrawn if they have dropped out If students have problem registering, encourage them to contact the Student Helpline (the sooner, the better)

Monitoring student registration is particularly important for the NECN group The New Entrant Control Number sets a limit on the number of HEFCE fundable students starting full-time undergraduate and PGCE (excluding TDA funded students) study in a given academic session

Things to be aware of: Students who wish to change from PT to FT must do so at the time of application/offer. We will not change the mode of study of a student during registration. The student will register on the terms of the offer made and accepted. Students assessed as Overseas who disagree with their fee assessment must query this at the time of application/offer. We will not change a fee assessment during registration from O to H. The student will register on the terms of the offer made and accepted. HEFCE no longer provides funding to higher education institutions (HEIs) and further education colleges (FECs) to teach students who are studying for a qualification that is equivalent to, or lower than, a qualification which they have already achieved. Students assessed as ELQ (Equivalent or Lower Qualifications) who disagree with the assessment must query this at the time of application/offer.
