Homework  Sent out in the beginning of the week  Homework is due at the end of the week.  This homework schedule is beneficial with busy families  Assignments: Spelling (2-3), Math (2-4), Reading Fluency (every night) Comprehension (as the year progresses). Please make yourself available to help your child and check their work.  Please sign student’s homework papers every day.  Students should read every night. If your child finishes the packet early in the week, have them spend some time with a good book!

Communications  Call my extension (250), me, or write me a note sent with your child  Please check the white “Blue Jay” folder nightly and clean it out. Important items will be sent home on the “Bring Right Back” side.  The homework sheet has a daily behavior portion. Please check that when you sign it.

Family Participation  Please plan to get involved in our classroom this year!  Studies show that students are much more successful when their families are involved with their teacher to create a team atmosphere!  The more we work together the more successful your child’s year will be!
