Positives and Negatives of being a teacher Positives: –Get to make a difference in a child’s life –Get your summers off –Everyday is different in what you teach Negatives: -Overall salary is fairly low -Work extremely long hours -Don’t get to choose what students you work with

One Final Thought “Teaching is not an easy task. You are constantly being critiqued by students and asked to be on top of your game each day. If you are having an off day it rubs off on your students. However, I love my job and I have fun coming to work each day. It took me a few years before I finally understood how to be a “good” teacher. I still haven’t perfected the craft and that’s why I am still teaching today!” - Mr. Kevin Goelz (3 rd Grade Teacher)

Conclusion “The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”- William Arthur Ward
