1. Sometimes I feel frustrated because I don’t want to do my work.

2. Maybe I just want to play.

3. Maybe I just want to be by myself.

4. Sometimes the teacher gives us time to play. This means it is my choice.

5. When it is my choice time, I can choose a toy, a book or another kid activity.

6. It is fun to choose my own activity.

7. At school, it is important to learn. My teacher plans lots of activities to help us learn.

8. When we are learning, it is teacher choice time. This means the teacher chooses what we will do.

10. My teacher is in charge of these lessons.

11. So when it is teacher choice time, we can be respectful by listening and following directions.

12. Sometimes I might not like the teacher’s choice.

13. But, I can be fair and follow the teacher’s directions.

14. If I need to, I can ask for help or take a break.

15. When I follow directions and do my teacher’s choice activity, I can feel very proud of myself.

16. My teacher will be happy and give me tickets. I am happy!
