Duties and Responsibilities Teachers spend an average of 49.3 hours per week, including 11.2 hours per week on non-compensated duties. They must establish rules and discipline They also need to prepare materials and classrooms for class activities. And plan and conduct activities And assign and grade class work and homework
Job Outlook The projected employment for 2018 is 3,944,900. This career is growing at a rate of 18% from 2008-2018. The competition for a position in teaching is solely based on the location
Work Environment Teachers work an average of 49.3(paid) hours a week, plus 11.2 hours (unpaid) Teachers also get no overtime pay, which is looked at as a disadvantage. The work schedule for a teacher is a five day week, with weekends and holidays off. A teachers work is both indoor and outdoor work it is also both moving and stationary.
Education/training To become a teacher you must obtain something along the lines of a Bachelor of Science in Education or a Teaching license. The higher the training or accreditation you have the better chance you will have in the career you choose. The teaching career doesn’t really have a career ladder, you apply for the position that you want to have.
