eLOGMAR – M Portal Presentation

The main Web-page of eLOGMAR-M Web – portal is presented at your attention in this window. The interface language can be selected. 2

You can see the Web portal Menu in the left part of the screen. The menu consists of the following main parts: “General Menu” provides the possibility of the registration for companies which are planning to work within the portal. The main option of “Transport logistics” is allow estimating cargo transportation rate and expected transit time. 3

“Transport logistics” also provides companies from Cargo Group the initial information of Shipping line and Block train services. The next option of “Transport Logistics” is “Estimation of Services Level” give possibility to provide a feedback of Users from Cargo Group regarding to service level of selected transport company. The last part of Menu “Useful information” gives advantages to receive the basic information in Information Technologies and Mobile Solutions, Legislation and Regulation, Education and Training regarding to transport logistics area. 4

To get an access to all portals’ functions User must fill in a Company Registration Form. Yellow fields must be filled obligatory. 5

After sending the Registration Form, User has to activate his Web-portal account. He has to follow the instructions sent to his address by . 6

Entering data (User’s name and password) in Login area of Main menu User receives access to his personal working field. User from Transport Group is able to operate with the set of so-called “Forms of Services and Tariff Rates” according to his company type. In this window a “Forms of Services and Tariff Rates” of Forwarding/Logistic Company is shown. Option “My Services” allows entering information regarding services and tariff rates of Transport Company taking into account transportation mode (sea, rail, road and intermodal transportation). 7

The example of a filled Form of Services and Tariff Rates of Shipping Line promoted by the Agent of the Shipping Company or Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier is shown on the screen. The Contact person fills in a needed type of currency and tariff rates boxes according to the type of a container. A tick marks in the fields: 20’ DC, 40’ DC and 40’ HC give a User to access for fill in all components of tariff rate quotations. All price quotation must be indicated in a validity date. 8

Data from previous form are saved as “My Services”. This information can be further viewed, modified or deleted in accordance with identified “Selected Freight Route”. 9

Forwarder organizing cargo transportation by sea and rail has to fill in the appropriate form. There are also the other forms for Block Train Operators, Road Carriers etc. 10

User from Cargo Group operates with “Estimation of Service Level”. 11

“Transport logistics” is the main part of the Web portal. These functions can be used by the companies from Cargo Group. To get “Initial information” (name of carriers, Sailings, expected transit time) regarding cargo transportation along selected freight route, User has to enter simple request. For example, if User selects the option “Shipping line services” and cargo is transported from the Port of Shanghai (China) to the Port of Tallinn (Estonia), the following information is reflected on the screen. 12

In a similar way User can receive “Initial information” related to “Block train services”. Selected freight route is Klaipeda / Draugiste (Lithuania) - Illichivsk / Paromnaja (the Ukraine). 13

Users from Cargo Group can use the option “On-line Transport Request” to receive price of transportation and time of cargo delivery. For instance, User is going to transport “Glass in two 20’ containers from the Port of Shenzhen / Yantian (China) to the Port of Tallinn (Estonia)”. On-line Transport Request consists of four basic steps. The first step (Transport Route) identifies points of departure and destination. 14

The second step (Cargo description) defines characteristics of Cargo and Terms of delivery. 15

The third step (Criteria for selection) allows to selected basic and additional criteria which are more important for User from Cargo Group. 16

The fourth step is Contact. These are the Contact data of a person (Customer) who has formed the On-line Transport Request. 17

User can check, modify and calculate (submit) filled On-line Transport Request. 18

The result of the processing (calculation) is presented on the screen: There are four potential carriers (transport companies). User from Cargo Group can select more suitable carrier taking into account two basis criteria: “Full transportation rate”; “Expected transit time”; 19

Besides two basic criteria User from Cargo group can receive information which characterizes service level of potential carrier in accordance with selected “soft” criteria in the form of histograms. “Soft” criteria: Cargo safety; Reliability; Readiness for negotiations; Quality of transport services; Stability of services. “Pop-up” window is coming off by clicking on “Details” button. In this window there is information about service level of Transport Company given by Users ordered cargo transportation via this company before. It helps to make final decision of selection more suitable cargo carrier. 20

After clicking on the hyperlink with the Name of selected Transport Company, User receive a window with kindly request to make his authorization as User. 21

The User is interested in contact data of Transport Company chosen before. The User is being directed to his own working field where he rechecks the Reply to his On-line Transport Request and studies and accepts the Rules and Conditions of receiving contact data. 22

User’s message is being sent to the Web portal Administrator for linking the User and chosen Transport Company. The Administrator send contact data of Transport Company for future cooperation between User and Transport Company regarding cargo transportation along selected freight route. 23

Every visitor has an access to portal’s “Useful Information”. Information about IT & Mobile solutions can be obtained. Type of solution and country should be selected to search the solutions. 24

In the similar way, “Useful information” about Legislation & Regulation can be obtained. Guide category and country should be selected to make a search 26
