Rules Respect the people and property of the media center. Maintain a learning environment. Sign in/out with a teacher note. Food, drinks, and cell phones are not permitted.

Finding a Book Go to a computer and click on Destiny Search by title, author, subject, or keyword Make a note of the call number Locate the book by searching for that call number

Borrowing a Book Books may be checked out for two weeks at a time. You must have your ID to check out materials. The overdue fine is 5 cents per school day. Library materials are protected by a security system and security cameras.

Returning a Book Return books at the front desk only. Books returned any other place will remain in the computer under a “checked out” status, and fines will continue to accumulate. If a book is lost, the borrower will be billed for the replacement price of the book.

Other Services If you need copies we will make those for you at the front desk. Because of the cost of ink and toner, black and white copies/ printouts are 10¢ Color copies are 25¢

Internet Use You must have an AUP on file to access the Internet. No (except Outlook), chat rooms, social networking sites, or inappropriate sites- your use is monitored by teachers, the media staff, and the proxy server! No online games or streaming of music or video. This slows down the entire network.

Find Us on Facebook If you have a Facebook account (with your parents’ knowledge & permission), LIKE Montgomery County High School Library Media Center.

The Human Element Mrs. Haydon and Ms. Tincher wish to welcome you to MCHS! Welcome all, serve all!
