Fill computers up front before going to back corners
Computers are for school work only; will be monitored
Balcony is off limits unless with a teacher/class

5. Library Class Expectations
Raise your hand and be polite at all times
Do not talk while Mrs. Berry or other students are talking
Ask permission if you need to leave the room; always sign out & use your agenda book
Respect school property; do not destroy library materials or computers

6. Library Class Expectations cont’d
Cell phones will be put in holder each class; this will also be how attendance is taken
Try your best; credit given for each class
If you do not behave or participate, you will not receive credit for the day
If you are absent, please see Mrs. Berry for missed work ASAP

7. Materials needed for this class:
Pen or pencil
Notebook for occasional notes
Folder for handouts and work
Sign up for a Gmail account if you don’t already have one

8. Additional Info Fire Drills: exit out doors facing Rt. 90
Sign out when going to locker, bathroom, nurse, etc. (please have agenda book!)
Can listen to music (with headphones) but no texting; phones will be taken!

9. Mrs. Berry’s Requests
Use colored place holders when looking for books; return to cup when done
No horseplay!

10. Library Use During SH MUST HAVE WORK TO DO! (No Socializing!!)
Check daily schedule posted outside of Library
Open after school most days; MS students should go to sports SH or stay with a teacher

11. Pre-signed Library Passes
Must see Mrs. Berry for a pre-signed Library Pass to come to the library from a SH
No pass from Mrs. Berry; no library use during SH

12. Pass Info Continued Passes given out during homeroom (7:40-7:45)
Come to Library with your pre-sign pass from Mrs. Berry; DO NOT go to study hall

13. Signing Into the Library
Sign in on SH sheet and write which SH teacher you have

14. Library Layout Fiction (spine labels showing genres)
Non-Fiction (look for the numbers)
Dewey numbers; arrange books by subjects (sciences, sports, history)

Magazines and newspapers (No Checkout)
Reference (dictionary, atlas, encyclopedia)
Biography/Collected Biographies
