Netiquette

At the end of the lesson, students should be able to : Explain the meaning of Netiquette. List out the Dos and Don’ts while communicating online. Adhere to netiquette in various forms of online communications.

Netiquette Netiquette is etiquette on the Internet. The need for a sense of netiquette arises mostly when sending or distributing e-mail, posting on Usenet groups, or chatting.

Dos and Don’ts While Communicating Online Do unto others, as you'd have others do unto you (be polite ). Do not TYPE ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS for emphasis. Remember that the written word is hard to interpret (use emoticon). Be careful not to use rude or bad language online.

Dos and Don’ts While Communicating Online Don't break any laws. Be universal (write in standard formatting). Make a good impression (make it easier on the eye to read). Be patient with newcomers (guide newbie).
