When keying an e-mail message or instant messages, do not key in ALL CAPS. This is like shouting within your message and considered to be rude. Do not give out phone numbers or other personal information unless you are sure the site is safe. Never give out personal information about others without their permission.
5
Consider all private e-mails to belong to the original author. Do not forward it or post it without permission. Send information only to those who need it. Busy people do not want to spend time reading messages not related to them. Do not send large attachments without the receiver’s permission.
6
Do not spam. Spam is an e-mail message sent to many addresses. It’s similar to junk mail. Keep your computer virus-free to avoid spreading viruses to others. Be courteous to others in all online messages and on Web pages.Do not use offense or biased language. Respect the privacy of others in all online messages.
7
Assume that messages (E-mail, instant messages, newsgroup postings) are not secure. Do not include private information.
