Tuesday 3rd September 8.45am-2:00pm. Meet outside the Dining Hall. You are very welcome to walk your child into the grounds. Please remember not to park on Talbot Avenue, or Lidgett Lane or enter the School Car Park.

School Day Students need to be in school by 8:45am for registration at 8:50am Break time is at 11:10am Lunch time is at 1:30pm NB: It is important that your son/daughter has a good breakfast before they come into school because their first opportunity to eat will not be until 11:10am. Water fountains are available around school if your child wishes to bring a water bottle to school.

Form groups are mixed ability, mixed gender, mixed ethnicity and from mixed feeder schools.

Students will be given their timetable and student diaries in September. It is very important that these are checked every day by yourselves. The diaries are central to organisation at AGS and should be looked after and valued by all there should be no graffiti or vandalism of any sort. They are your own responsibility. Replacement diaries cost £3.50.

All students will need:- » Pens » Pencils » A ruler » An eraser » A calculator » Pencil crayons » A strong bag – large enough to carry required equipment » Bus fare (if needed) » Dinner money/packed lunch (if needed)

This is compulsory. Both the school uniform and PE kit can be purchased during the summer holiday at Jo Brand in Meanwood. 18 Green Road If your daughter wishes to wear a skirt it must be black and knee length. No tube skirts are allowed. No jeans, leggings, jeggings or skinny trousers/trackpants are allowed. Hijabs/Headscarves must be plain black with no sequins. Footwear is plain black with no other colourings or logos. Please make sure your child is properly dressed for school in September – any queries please refer to the starter pack for the correct school uniform.

Some jewellery is allowed in school:- » One ring per hand » One bracelet per wrist » One set of stud earrings Please do not let your child bring valuable items into school. Students may need to remove jewellery for some activities. Please refer to the starter pack for the correct school jewellery.

Please telephone the school on the first day of absence and send a note with your child upon their return (this can be in their diary.) Family holidays can not be taken in school time – they will not be authorised.

We have been contacting primary schools to find out as much as possible about your son or daughter to ease the transition. We are confident the transition to high school will be smooth and trouble free but if there are any problems, please do not hesitate in letting us know. The Allerton Grange Home/School Agreement is a very important contract and one which we, as a school, take very seriously. We would ask you to read carefully our school rules and sign to confirm your agreement.

If you have internet access the VLE is the ideal way for you to know what your child is learning within the Learning 2 Learn Curriculum. Lets have a look….. There is a handout for you to take home to help you access the VLE.

This presentation can be found on the Allerton Grange Website under; Parents – Parent Information – Year Information
