3. School Uniform School Uniform
No jewellery, except stud earrings and a watch.
Please have children’s name on all parts of the uniform, including PE kit.
Ensure children bring their PE kit on the correct days.
Sturdy trainers
Children are not allowed to wear any jewellery except a watch and stud ear-rings. Anything else, will be removed.
On days when the children have P.E. – can you ensure they have no ear-rings in.
Winter uniform – no polo-shirts

5. Behaviour
Children are expected to follow the school rules and the school mission statement.
Golden time is given as a reward and taken away as a sanction.
Children must speak English whilst in school.

9. Assessment
Due to national curriculum changes, levels are no longer in use. Children’s progress is assessed against the expectations for each year group. Instead of levels your child will either be:

10. P.E. PE kits only go home during holidays.
Children need the correct footwear.
No jewellery on PE days.
3LP: Tuesdays and Thursdays
3EN: Tuesdays and Mondays
P.E. – kept in school until holidays

No jewellery during P.E. (includes ear-rings)
3OC – Monday and Tuesday
3JA – Tuesday and Thursday

12. Homework Children will have an English and a Maths homework work book.
The children will also have spellings and times tables to learn.
Reading Journal
- Children will receive homework every Friday to be handed in the following Wednesday.
Homework books need to be covered.
No writing or drawings on the cover of books
Children must take their own pencils to school every day
If the child loses their book, they will need to replace it
Given on Friday – returned on Wednesday.

Children hand in homework diary and homework.

13. Presentation
Children should take pride in every piece of work they complete. They must use their best cursive handwriting, including the date and title, which are underlined with a ruler.

Write the date at the top of the page and underline it with a ruler
If your child makes a mistake, rub it out or put a single line through it.

Home-school agreement – discuss with your child and sign.
High expectations
Punctuality – Arrive 8:40am-8:55am School finishes at 3:15pm
Absence – not during term time – if sick, please ring school to let us know.

15. Healthy Eating
Please ensure that your children have a water bottle and a healthy school lunch each day.
