GOALS SHEET! Workbook opened to pg. 8. You should have completed the “Put Your Skills to the Test” questions from pgs Note cards all cut up.

STEP 1: UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION “Q” – question = note what the question is asking - underline or write it down “C” – concept = identify the concept - organize the mental closet “T” – terrain = assess the terrain - certain formats are susceptible to certain shortcuts, specifically STEP 2: CHOOSE THE SHORTEST PATH choose #s, work backwards, eyeball, ballpark, make a picture, or do the math STEP 3: DOUBLE CHECK be sure your answer makes sense logically

Your homework is in the workbook. Please complete the “Put Your Skills to the Test” questions from pages 17 – 23. You will want to answer these questions specifically by using the new shortcuts as a way to sharpen your skills. Don’t forget to use QCT and the rest of the method for every math question, as well. Lastly, please complete the “Additional Exercises” section: pgs A Copy Of This Powerpoint Can Be Found On Your Materials Page!
