5 System Connection Muscular, Skeletal, Respiratory, Circulatory and Digestive System Connections

Maryland Science Content Standard Students will explain and describe that the complex set of systems found in multicelluar organisms are made up of different kinds of tissues and organs which are themselves composed of differentiated cells (levels of organization)

Objective Today you will be describing how the five systems studied (respiratory, circulatory, muscular, skeletal and digestive) provide and utilize the raw materials needed to live.

Notebooks Title: System Connection Review Date: 4/23/2017

BCR Write a paragraph explaining the connection between the digestive, respiratory, circulatory, muscular and skeletal systems explaining how they work together to allow you to take part in activity of your choice.

Peer Editing Read a neighbors paragraph and edit. Does the BCR include the relationship between the systems? Does the BCR connect the systems to completing an activity Does the BCR flow instead of defining the function of the systems individually?

Technology Standard Students will select and use technology to express ideas. In this lesson, students will select and use the appropriate multimedia and publishing tools to express original ideas with print, drawings, digital images, video, sounds, and/or personal recordings

Now for the fun…… Using the BCRs as a premise, create a movie in Xtranormal.com With your table, incorporate the information found in your BCR s into a dialog explaining how the systems work together to complete an activity.

Assessment After viewing class videos (located on calendar), students will critique movies for accurate information. Choose 6 movies from you class to critique Fill out critique template
