Your body has four main kinds of tissue: epithelial tissue, nervous tissue, muscle tissue, and connective tissue.
Epithelial tissue covers and protects underlying tissue. Your skin is primarily epithelial tissue.
Nervous tissue sends electrical signals through the body. It is found in the brain, nerves, and sense organs.
