RDS Web Article Delivery: A not so Extreme Makeover NOW After 6/1/2004 RDS articles are delivered to users in paper form. RDS articles will be delivered to users in electronic form.

RDS Web Article Delivery: A not so Extreme Makeover NOW After 6/1/2004 Users come to a library to pick up RDS articles. RDS articles will be delivered directly to the user’s desktop-- at home, office, lab, dorm, or a library public access workstation.

RDS Web Article Delivery: A not so Extreme Makeover NOW After 6/1/2004 RDS staff place articles in envelopes, with users’ names, and on Hold Shelves. RDS staff in libraries with scanners will include article titles and patron names when transmitting articles via Ariel.

RDS Web Article Delivery: A not so Extreme Makeover NOW After 6/1/2004 No change Users place requests for Rutgers articles in IRIS using the “Request Article/Other” form.

The “A” Team will check requests for articles from a user’s pickup library or a library on the same campus (Camden, NB/P, Newark) for a deposit account number. If a deposit account number is present, the “A” Team will forward the request to the library to fill. Team

RDS Web Article Delivery: A not so Extreme Makeover NOW After 6/1/2004 Users ask questions about their RU article requests by “replying to” Unicorn notifications. These questions are forwarded to “Ask a Librarian” and are answered by the Requests and Access Services AAL teams. No Change

RDS Web Article Delivery: A not so Extreme Makeover NOW After 6/1/2004 Users ask questions about accessing and viewing ILL articles posted to the Web by “replying to” Ariel notifications. ILL staff answers these questions. ILL and RDS “posting station” staff answer questions about access and viewing ILL and RU articles posted to the Web, as well as similar questions sent to “Ask a Librarian.”
