Expectations Graffiti write

On a sheet of paper  Mrs. Sheppard’s Expectations graffiti write.  Use lots of colors  Be random in placements  Write in different styles  Be creative  Write the title of the slide only- the ‘green’ words!

Step 1  In the middle of the page write :  Mrs. Sheppard’s Expectations

Step 2  Write my expectations on your page in a graffiti style as we talk about the expectation.  Write the title of the slide only- the ‘green’ words!

Pass  I expect you to try your hardest and turn in work on time  If you do this you will most likely pass my class,  The more effort you put in the higher your grade will likely be… little effort low grade… Write this

Didn’t study for a test? Accept the grade and do better next time  For tests 70 or above is passing,  If you don’t study and fail- don’t whine about it… strive to do better next time, and come in and correct or re-test

Leave my materials in the class  I supply materials for you to use in my class like map colors, scissors, rulers, paper, glue and other items!  Do not leave them laying around, do not put them in you pocket and leave with them, do not throw them away!  I start the school year off with 24 scissors- and 6 weeks in I usually have only 12 or less…. If they disappear you will not have supplies to do labs, activities and journal entries!

Ask for help when you don’t understand!  If you don’t understand ask for help!!!  Either after class  during class,  before class  Before school a  after school  during tutorials!

Treat others how you want to be treated  Golden rule-

Admit when you are wrong  If you were caught talking, admit you were talking and we can go about our business

Come to tutorials when absent or you don’t understand  If you are absent, YOU MISSED SOMETHING!  COME IN TO TUTORIALS- NOT AN OPTION!  If you don’t understand either ask a friend who does, to explain it to you or come in and ask me!

Be on time  Be on time to class,  Don’t be tardy- if you are tardy do not try to sneak in… go to the office and get a tardy pass and come back to class  do not stand outside my door waiting for people before class… go in and get started…

Be respectful to everyone  Show respect for everyone by the way you talk to them, the way you treat them, and how you act toward them.  By everyone I mean EVERYONE!

Do not use “bad” words  “bad” words- words you would not use in church  the f bomb  Sh..  Any other word your mom would slap you for saying.  I may not always hear you whisper, but if you say one of these words I will hear it! These words stick out!

Refuse to follow my rules… Be prepared to suffer the consequences!  Consequences:  Tardy from office  Lunch detention with me  After school detention with me.  Sentences 100 times each  Other….

This class is not a democracy  I am the ruler of this class and what I say goes…  I’m not elected like the president… therefore you have no power!!! (evil laugh)

Don’t throw things- even trash  One of the things that bugs me the most is throwing of any objects in class… even trash  Get out of your seat and walk over to the trash can and place the item in the trash  Do not throw pencils! You may get unlucky and stab someone in the eye!

Clean up after yourself  Your mom doesn’t teach in this class… so clean up after yourself  Trash in trash can  Materials placed in proper place  Desks straightened  Books put up  No paper litter on ground

Be ready when the bell rings  When the tardy bell rings be ready to start class… don’t just start getting ready  My class runs from bell to bell  When the tardy bellrings we begin with a bellringer  When the final bell rings wait for me to dismiss you! I may have some important info for you like a pop quiz tomorrow!

No Excuses!  Quit trying to make excuses, own up to your mistake and take charge to do better
