Community Development Department PINE LAKES PARKWAY NORTH ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS Project Summary Increase safety of roadway: Similar improvements that were completed along the southern portion of Pine Lakes Parkway. Increase super elevation of curves. Add paved shoulders along both sides of roadway. Add left turn lanes onto Brushwood and Brookside Lanes. Provide continuous multi-use path along roadway. Installation of street lights. Convert existing overhead utilities to underground. Status City Council approved a Work Order for the Design of the Project City Council approved Change Order for additional design work – City Council approves Capital Improvement Plan for construction of project in FY Design Complete: Currently under review by City and Utility Companies.

Community Development Department UNDERGROUND CONVERSION HISTORY /18/2007 City Council approved the FPL conversion of overhead lines to underground in conjunction with the Belle Terre 4-Laning Project. City received a $255, credit contingent upon the completion of an additional 1-mile of conversion. Pine Lakes Parkway was identified and agreed to by FPL as the additional contiguous1-mile segment.

Community Development Department UNDERGROUND UTILITIES Segment 1: Underground Utilities installed as part of new roadway alignment – Belle Terre 4-Laning Project Segment 2: Underground Utilities converted to underground as part of Belle Terre 4-Laning Project Segment 3: Proposed segment to meet 3-mile conversion in order to receive cost reduction. Work to be completed as part of Pine Lakes Parkway Roadway Improvement Project

Community Development Department UNDERGROUND CONVERSION OPTIONS Option One – Approve Agreements Approve agreements in amount of $309, and proceed with Pine Lakes Parkway North Roadway Improvements Project. Deadline to issue payment and execute FPL Agreements is 12/28/2011. Option Two – Do Not Approve Agreements Do not convert existing utilities. Will require repayment of $255, credit received for conversion of existing utilities as part of Belle Terre 4-Laning Project. Will require redesign of multi-use path due to conflicts with existing utility poles. Forfeit of a $242, credit for the conversion of the Pine Lakes FPL Utilities.
