3 Community Development Department Bulldog Drive ultimately will be widened from a 2-lane undivided, rural typical section to a 4-lane divided, urban typical section with a landscape median. The interim phase will be a 2-lane reconstruction with turn lane, stormwater system improvements, turn lanes and signal replacement on SR100, and improvements at high school site due to improvements on Bulldog and SR100. PROJECT SUMMARY

4 Community Development Department Stormwater Improvements (reduce flooding of school site) Improve safety for vehicles and pedestrians. –Shift main high school entrance west to alleviate back-ups into the bulldog drive/SR100 intersection. –Provide right turn lanes on SR100 onto Bulldog Dr. and high school entrances. –Provide turn lane on Bulldog for left turn into high school site. –Provide a 10-foot sidewalk along the west side of Bulldog Drive. Reconstruction of Bulldog/SR100 intersection –Replace string pole signal with a new mast arm signal. –Roadway improvements for the ultimate configuration: Right turn lane on bulldog onto SR100 and two left turn lanes onto SR100. Extend existing left turn lane on SR100 onto Bulldog Drive. Extension of street lighting. Enhanced Landscaping and re-use irrigation. PROJECT BENEFITS
