Battle of Fort Sumter—1861 ζ At Charleston Harbor in South Carolina. ζ South Carolina was a seceded state, part of the Confederate Union. ζ And demanded that Union Troops withdraw from Charleston's harbor.

Battle of Gettysburg—July ζ In Gettysburg Pennsylvania Union Troops— Union General Meade led his troops to fend off Confederate Troops invading the north. Confederate Troops— Confederate General Robert E. Lee was moving north. Destroying any Union Troops in his way towards Philadelphia. It was a Three day battle.

Three Days of Battle— Union Troops* 93, 921 men Confederate Troops* 71, 699 men On the first day, Confederate troops had sent Union Troops fleeing. On the second day, with heavy attacks from the Confederates, Union Troops held their line. On the third day, 12, 500 Confederate Troops charged the Union Troops with the “Picketts Charge” Casualties* Union— Confederate—

Second battle of Fort Fisher— Jan At 2:30pm the naval assault stopped and the land attack began. General Whiting of the Confederate’s was killed during this attack, and the combat was fierce. Around ten pm the surrender order was given to the confederates. General Terry moved his troops in between Hoke’s troops and Fort Fisher and moved towards the Fort. Hoke did not engage or do anything. For two days, porter ships attacked the fort with lots of artillery.
